Schwedenparty, [f.u.c.], hoervergnuegen and the Awesome Agency are pround to present the traditional Swedish holiday served Berlin-style with Vice as media partner.
For the fourth time the Midsommar Festival Berlin is happening from July 3rd to 5th and celebrating in true Berlin style the most important traditional Swedish holidy on two outdoor and two indoor areas. Chicks on Speed, Ian Pooley, Al Doyle from Hot chip, CLP and nearly 60 more international Bands, Live-Acts and DJs are pleasing the crowd with non-stop electronic music at its best.
The line up is a combination of “true-school” Berlin Techno and upcoming, insider’s tips artists, many of them playing Berlin for the very first time. Nearly all local heroes, who spread the unique sound of Berlin, express their affinity to Sweden: “papa bear” Jake The Rapper, our faithful Red Robin, Fusion-fav Sportbrigade Sparwasser, all-time long runner Gianni Vitiello and many more of the usual suspects.
As a very special showcase Format B. are presenting their new Live-Set, exclusively for this summer in Berlin. Furthermore, some well selected Swedish artists from Agaric’s label “we are”, m_nus act Joel Alter and Discobelle, from the same-named music hyper-blog, will perform. And that is not all: Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Niyi, Les Titz Grand and Bad Hairy Catz complete the Techno-thunderstorm with their mad live-shows.
This conglomeration extraordinaire will be celebrated within the coalition of several venues, located directly by the river Spree in the shades of the Fernsehturm. Though, you have to come along personally and find out by yourself. The fest of fests will start on Friday, July 3rd, 6pm.. the end is not yet in sight.
